On my way home from work yesterday I got on the freeway and stood on it, usually it hits 2000 rpm and continues to accelerate. Nothing happend. It seemed like it was in a limp mode of some sort. I have a 12v and I know that there is not a limp mode seeing as how it doesn't have a computer. All I have done to the truck is turn the starwheel about 10 clicks about a year ago. I talked to a diesel mechanic buddy of mine and he said it could possibly be a plugged fuel filter. I am hoping that this is all it is. Does anyone have any ideas.

You do have a computer [ I hope that does not bum you too much ] , so does my 94 .
Get a set of gages in the truck , boost , trans temp , exhaust temp & fuel pressure [ some say that it is not needed in the 12v P-pump , but they have issues also , filter plug , overflow valve , lift pump , the gage will tell you if those things are starting to happen .
