This is my second set of brake pads with in 80,000 miles, any idea why I have had to change them that much.

Fill in your sig so we know what you're driving. Do you tow a lot of weight? Drive on mountain roads a lot? Stop fast? There's a lot of factors that can contribute to brake wear.

depending on what your driving, you might look into an exhaust brake. i used to run one (on my old turbo) and i am having a hard time driving with out it. I need to get a new remote mount....

Depends on model year and usage. I remember alot of 94-95 2500's needing brakes about every 25k if they were towing about anything.

I just turned 19k miles on my truck, and had to do pads AND rotors all the way around , Apparently someone (me) needs some bigger trailer brakes

I'm on my 3rd set of front brake pads in 75,000 miles. I attribute mine to sitting in lots of traffic 5 days a week. The original rears look like new still...
