DON'T take it to dealer. Drop and drain your tank and pull fuel filter. Fill back up with diesel and purge lines till getting diesel to filter. Install filter and go about you bussiness and dont tell anyone YOU DID THAT!

Get all the fuel out of your tank. Drain the fuel lines. Drain the fuel/water filter out completely and replace filter. Fill it up full of Diesel and Pray. You might want to wait for one of these other guys to post on here to b/c they know more than me but, I would start getting all the Gas out you can.. How far have you gone with gas in it????

Glad that I could help. Clean things up, dump in additive. Don't tell dealer.

Everything should be fine if you didn't drive too far. Even then, don't panick.

Re:new 2004 update

You will not have hurt a thing. Just follow everyone's advice and get the fuel out of your tank and install new filters in a week or so. You do not even need to get it all out, just down as far as you can. Refill with fresh diesel and drive it enough to be able to add another quarter tank in a day or so. Keep the mixed fuel for your lawnmower. If it is 3/4 gas it will work just fine there or in a car without a cat converter!

Re:new 2004 update

Just as the other guys said, don't be too worried about it. Get as much of the fuel out of the tank as you can, drain the fuel filter canister and replace the filter. Fill the canister and the tank and get it re-started. It will be okay. This happens all the time at my work and as long as you don't try to drive it for a long period of time with unleaded in it, it will be fine. What you really don't want to do is put diesel in a gas engine. One of the drivers at work put diesel in a V10 Dodge PU and melted all the pistons.

Re:new 2004 update

thanks for all of your help,i also have a 99 f350 ford power stroke never did anything that dumb,
my wife and sons will not let me forget it
dodge seems to be ok remove all the fuel about 25 gals and refilled put 1000 more miles and no trouble,it just shifts strange and i smell fuel at times.
again thanks for all of your help.
i have been told if i had done that to the fordand drove 60 miles would have had major damage.so far i like the dodge better than the ford, everything works out will trade ford in spring for another dodge. ;D
