Unhappy Need to track STOLEN TRUCK!!!

My 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins has been stolen and needed to know if there is some type of tracking device on these new vehicles (GPS or Low Jack)?? If so, how do I report/locate my vehicle.

PLEASE HELP!!

The police should know if your particular vehicle is equipped with this, stock. If it is optional you would have to inform them. Do you have a toll-free number to Dodge for warranty/road service? You could probably call that, and they would have your VIN, and could tell you what your truck was equipped with when you bought it.

I wish I could be of more help. This is an awful thing to have happen to you. I hope you get your truck back quickly, and in good condition.

That just plain sucks. I had my 95 stolen. The stupid investigator spent more time trying to put me in the big house over it than he did the guy that stole it. I think you have to have special stuff on there like lojack before they take it. If it had Onstar (GM) they would know exactly where it was. I don't beleive there's anything on yours that works like this.

Where are you and what is the discription of the truck? You have a lot of folks out here that would be more then happy to keep an eye out for it.

Over here there is a possibility to insert the VIN as stolen into the dealer network- if you want a part for this VIN or the vehicle shows up at a dealer the dealer sees that it'S stolen and calls the police. I don't know whether you have this option, but over here quite some of the vehicles get located like this. (Usually they are in the posession of a bona fide buyer who fell for the faked paperwork)

I wish you luck in getting it back!

When you get done with the police report, report the VIN and that it is stolen to your Dodge dealer, then when it gets towed in for routine injection system failures it will be flagged by the dealer!

Hope you get your truck back in OK shape. Don't even know what to look out for, or whare to look.
I have "vehicle watch" stickers on my truck. Cops can stop in any time within 1 mile of Mexacan border or anywhere between 1:00am and 5:00am. Don't know if it really works, but it is a free service.

I know that this may be a long shot, but if you have a Tollway tag on the windshield, maybe the cops could flag the toll operator system. Possibility that they could find your truck by thieves using toll roads.... A
GAIN, just a long shot.

Good luck,

Gary
