BTT: I really need some help on this!!! W/O my truck, I have no way of even getting to a job once I find one. Been off work 2 years w/ a bad back, that the Lord has healed nearly completely. But now this, a divorce, and trying to get custody of my little boys.
Anyone want to make a Good offer on my truck? Or perhaps someone has a tranny lying around that they'd sell cheap (and a clutch)?

I'm gonna call a buddy of mine this evening and see if he'll help me yank it apart and see what's going on... don't know what good it'll do, w/o any funds, though. :-(

Reckon I'm on my own on this one.
I've called a few buddies that have "connections" and have had no luck finding a used tranny. They were told that they're hard to come by.

The only thing to do in you situation is talk to your local Preacher and Church and see what they can do for you. If you were local I would help you out in as many ways as I could. Keep looking and something will turn up. I'm looking right now and will let you know if anything shows up. Good Luck!

A rebuilt NV4500HD for the Dodge diesel is pretty easy to come by. Here is a source: http://www.txchange.com/

I don't wanna bother the lord... or my church over this. I'd been having to walk w/ a cane for 2 years, got turned down on a worker's comp claim, started praying for help and in about a week, I was walking w/o a cane and no pain whatsoever. I've been volunteering @ the church and a church run food distribution center. I've even been stacking empty hardwood pallets over my head w/o any pain! Well, I do get muscle aches in my lower back, but that's just from not being able to use my back to anywhere near its full potential for 2 years. I know you were probably joking, but this is no joke at all. There's been alot more that's happened to me since then that I'd call miracles, but won't get into them here. Anyone that's had a severe back injury knows that a guy can't fake such a thing for 2 years. The lord's looking out for me, for sure... and I know it's because I'm supposed to raise 2 little boys after I get custody of them. Not sure why the tranny thing happened... probably the Lord testing my faith a little.

BTW, my mechanic buddy is gonna make some calls tomorrow and see if he can locate a transmission, and he's gonna help me put it in. I think Dad's gonna help w/ funds to get it going, so I have wheels and can get a job. Gotta have wheels to get to one, ya know! :-)
