I talked to a diesel shop and he said there is a lot of stuff I have to have to put the P7100 on. I think he said cam, gear, pump, lines, injectors, and a few other things. Does anyone know what exactily I have to change? I don't want to replace the cam if I don't have to. I'd be nice if someone made a kit. I thought about cuttin the old timing case and find a way to bolt the piece to new case to get me bye. So many ways to mess everything up, and only one way to get it right.

You can't put the VE pump on the 2nd gen case. You would not need a new cam to swap on a P7100 (2nd gen) pump, but you would need the pump gear, lines, and injectors. I would not try to do a cut & paste job on the timing cover, better to sell the 2nd gen cover to get money to buy a 1st gen cover, or spend the money to do a pump conversion.

If I don't see a first gen timing case on ebay today i'm gonna order one from dodge. I'll just keep the 2nd gen case for my other engine that I have more time to work on.
