My rims are broken! Does 35/12.5/17 tires fit on a stock rim?

Hello

I just found out that my front rim on the left is broken. And I noticed that my other front rim has got some cracks.

I Holland they don't sell much wheels for truck like this. But I found someone who has the stock wheels for sale.

Does anyone know if my 35/12.5/17 Procomp all terrains tires will fit on these rims?

So than I can search for some nice rims in the USA and send them to Holland. That will take 6 weeks.

Thanks,

Roel

I ran some 35/12.50/17 Toyo MT's for a while on my stock rims. They will rub the lower control arm at full steering lock, but not bad.

Yes, they will fit. They may rub a little on the control arm.

Great thanks alot.

I also found a set of Hummer H2 rims.
The man told me these wheels fit on a Ram 2500. But do they really fit??

ok so they fit without any problems? I've heard that some need spacers or adapters because the lugs are not in the perfect place.

But I think that the man thinks he knows more about trucks then he really does

The center hole for the hub on H2 wheels is slightly too small and will need to be bored out to about 4.775 inches to fit on your Dodge. Also the Dodge cap will need to be modified to fit on the H2 wheel. Search for H2 wheels on this forum and you will find a lot of information about both issues. The link below has the basic process and some pictures.

When the larger diameter tires rub on the control arms, bond a piece of metal about 3/32" to a max of 1/8" thick on the steering stops and the problem goes away.
You can also drill and tap the stops for a 5/32" or a 3/16" screw and screw a short screw in and grind the head down until the tires stop rubbing.

How did your rims break in the first place?

Thank heavens you weren't going around a curve at high speed?!

Maybe you ought to talk to the manufacturer of the aftermarket rims?

That really was lucky that I saw it when I was standing still at home.
It really would be like hell when they broke when I was driving on the highway.

It are American Racing wheels.
But I don't how old they are and if this is the first truck they are used on. Maybe they are used on other trucks. I don't know. They where on the truck when I bought the truck.

If red somewhere on DTR that there or a lot of wheel that fit on a ram 2500 but they are not strong enough for the weight. Maybe that's the reasen.
The both front rims are broken. these are 17x8.5" and in the back they put 17x10" and these are fine.

Today I bought a set H2 rims with 315/70/17 tires. The clear coat is getting off. But the price was very nice.
Now I'm looking for some really nice wheels and tires in the usa and send them to holland.(20" or 22") When they are on the truck I will paint the H2 rims and will make the dodge center cabs on the H2 rims. Then I will use them in the winter.

We are now trying to make the center holes bigger. So I can mount them tomorrow. Then I can use my truck again
