so i ran out of fuel pulled over went to gas station and filled up my truck now it wont keep running changed filter and put full tank of deisel in get code that is low voltage to lift pump is this electrical or is my pump goin bad?
it will run for about a second then die sometimes it will run for 30 minutes just fine then die...!!!!HELP!!!!!

LP going out......dreaded p0628 code....what year and how many miles on your truck?

 

mine did the same thing yesterday.now its setting at kenworth in st. louis.just had lp changed in feb.but they wont exchange unless i have a tech.say thats what it is for sure.same p0628 code.208,000 miles on the beast now.

it s the fuel pump on the fuel filter canister that supplies fuel to the injector pump

 

kewl thanx are they a pain to replace? and if i do it myself any thing special i need to do like bleed systen prime sys etc?

 

no not really but if your still under warranty they will fix it, if not an aftermarket pump will work better
