Which Lift Pump??
Which Lift Pump??
Hey everyone my lift pump is going out and I was wonderin what lift pump i should get. I was lookin at the BD lift pumps and I was wonderin what the difference between the Auxillary pump and the OEM bypass kit was?? Which one do u guys prefer i should get?? Or should I get another one?? Thanks
lots of good options...but I dont like the BD pumps cause they are the same pump that fails like crazy on the 2nd gen trucks..my vote would be a raptor fuel pump or a airdog...or a walbro pump...my.02
just had the bd kit put on and they put on the booster pump kit on when the should have put on the oem replacement kit. Differences are the booster pump is turned on by oil pressure and supplies more fuel to your good working lift pump. The oem replacement kit has an adaptor plate to remove the oem lift pump, gets power from the original plug so it turns on with the key.
If you have a bad lift pump get the oem replacement kit, if your lift pump is good get the booster pump.
I got this kit because it was all I could find quickly, but had alot of hassel because of getting the wrong kit but that was the companies fault here in town.

Do not overlook the 2 micron filters. It never hurts to make sure clean fuel is all that makes it thru your system.
No commissions made from GDP. I have bought one kit from them for my truck. It was very easy and clear to install. Good Luck with yours.
