What year?

If it is a common rail, DO NOT attempt to bleed the injectors. It is very dangerous, and the system is self bleeding.

Codes:

I don't know if you can pull codes with a 99 and the key trick.

To bleed the system, crack the fuel line going into the VP44, and turn the key on. The fuel pump will run for 30-45 seconds. If you do not see fuel coming out of the line, bump the starter ( motor turns over once, do not start). Repeat this up to three times. If you are still not getting fuel, you need to check your lift pump.

Once you do start getting fuel, with the fuel still flowing, tighten the line.

Check out pg 15 and 16 on this PDF... it's an edge installation manual...

Can you hear your fuel pump running when you just bump the starter? If not most likely transfer pump is bad. If you hear it running then crack the fuel return line (19mm wrench) at the injection pump. That's the line to the front of injection pump. Bump starter until you see fuel coming out fitting. You don't need to crank engine to get pump to run. Just turn key off and then bump starter motor again after pump times out. Tighten up this line, then crack open injector line #1 #3 #4. Crank engine until you start to see fuel here. Crank only 30 seconds max then wait a few minutes to give starter time to cool off. Tighten lines as fuel appears at each fitting. Good Luck.
