injector pump--3500--yr=2000
the replacement pump my friend bought from a private party has a keyway number--035.
The injector pump I took off (original) has a keyway number of 036. Does this matter? What is the difference?

You're suposed to use the key that is numbers matching with the pump to get the pump timing correct.

ie: use an 035 key with an 035 pump, or an 036 key with an 036 pump.

The keys do match the pumps--are the pumps interchangeable?
