timing

Thanks for the replys guys. I found a local "Hot Rod" diesel shop, Screaming Diesel located in my town that is going to take a look at my timing. The owner heard my truck today and imediately said it was the timing. I also called Piers today and talked with Mark. Marked also said after all I have been through and the way the truck is running he also bets it is the timing.

Truck idles at 800 and does not move. I have checked the fuel shutoff valve and wires, everyting looks good.

So here is my issue......

The owner said the timing is no big deal. 1.5 - 2.0 hours total. But said the only issue he might run into is if the pumps tapered shaft has been damaged from sliping and might not be able to retighten. He mentioned is does not happen a lot. How many people in here have had a 12 valve jump timing and ruin the pump shaft???

Thanks......

Dave
