I Broke My Ve Pump

with my fuel problem still not solved i decied to put in my 366 spring , did all right, was thighting down the pump top when i heard a snap like i had broken a bolt off in the housing , so i backed them off and none of the bolts were broken, i poked around and found in the top back corner the top of the fuel lever [i think] had broken off , i thinking i will have to pull the pump to fix it, anybody have this happen? how did ya fix it?

You broke the governor lever. You tried to do it without pulling out the fuel screw, didn't you?

Fix is to get a new governor lever. The sticky on the 1st gen board has an exploded diagram with the Bosch part numbers.
