I owne a 2001 ram 2500 w/six speed man.
When ever I try to get on the throttle I hear a lot of air loss noise.
It's blown the insullation off the inder side of my hood but I can' find a leak anywhere. Can any one help?

Well first off, welcome to DTR. Go up to the dark bar up above and click on "User CP", find the "Edit Signature" link in the left column and make a signature. Tell us what you have with your '01 2500 6sp.

Get under the hood and check the boot from the turbo to the intercooler, all over the intercooler, and the boot from the intercooler to the intake manifold. Something is either loose, cracked or split.

Where exactly is your insulation torn, what is directly below or around this area? Turbo, charge air tubes, intake plenum. Look for loose or broken clamps on all the charge air plumbing.

If it is a boost leak it will be hard to find unless the truck is under load so the turbo is making boost. Try doing a search and you should find lots of help to find a boost leak. Do you happen to have a boost pressure guage on your truck?

Hey guys, Thanks for the help.
I found the leak, It was in the boot coming out of cooler. I made a couple of boot caps. Onne blank and one with an air "qwick connect" with a 8 lb kunkle valve. I started to pressure it up and the crack became evident big time!! * lbs doesnt seem like a lot but it realy is. Thanks for all your help you guys are great..
