I need some help here. Decided to go with a front brake job, rotors were trashed. I cant get that freaking nut off of the axle if my life depended on it. Whats the deal? are they reverse thread, or torqued on by godzilla?!!?!?! anyone got any experience here.? Its a 99 4x4 2500.. thanks. Im stuck and missing work

If my memory works I think the torqu. spoc. 180 ft. lbs.
It seems that it can take double that + to get off , then it also depends on the last one that put the nut back on .
A good !!! 1/2 " impact is required to get loose .
I've tried a 3' snap on 1/2 breaker bar with a floor jack hand - it weighed 10 lbs. so it wasn't a lite weight , that would break it lose .

Beware of using too much torque to try and remove the nut. Many times the nut is galled to the axle threads because no antiseize was used. If you have to resort to a 4' cheater bar you are likely to take the threads
right off the axle end = $$$.
Heat the nut or split it to remove.
