Hesitating!

I have posted on this problem before but I still cant get my truck to behave its self. When I am accelerating the truck kinda pauses then accelerates again. This usally happens any where between 1300 and 1800 RPM. I can also feel it as im crusing down the interstate at 65. I can feel the power is there then it drops off then comes back. All of this is farely subtle but it did the same thing last year when my VP died so im really nervous and I pay really close attention to it. Please help me before I go INSANE ! I have taken it to the local diesel performance shop and took one of the guys for a ride and he said he didnt see, hear, or feel anything. I dont know what else to do. I just reset the APPS last night and it still does it. I have unhooked the EZ and it still does it. What else should I do?

Thanks, Matt

Start with the simple stuff first.
Check fuel pressure and check codes even if cel is not on.

I checked for codes and I dont have any. I'll have to check on the fuel pressure later. My brother has a gauge but the lowest it reads is 20 psi.
My old VP had been acting up for some time before it threw a code and it went out about a day later

A lot of times a bad lp will not set a code.......... when my first one went out, no codes, but i had a "stumble" on acceleration.
i could even hear the lp running.
we put a guage on and 0 pressure. the IP was actually sucking fuel through the LP

I had a problem about like that with mine. It turned out to be the vp44. It took 4 pumps to get one that would last more then 3 to 6 months. Lift pump was good the whole time. The truck was also bone stock. The bad pumps were Cummins reman.

Good luck
