Edge on level 5 hesitating at half throttle????

I have an edge on my 5.9 truck with an auto tranny. Its the hot version. When im about half throttle accelerating it hesitates really bad. It feels like im pumping the gas pedal (maybe even worse). It actually seems like the motor is cutting out a bit. It doesnt happen on any other level then 5. Any ideas?

That sounds more like surging and probably happens at a lower level just it's not as noticeable. Happens on some trucks more than others.

I would definately look at the lift pump pressure first. If that is ok, then the Edge box itself might need to be fixed up.

Well the truck sat for 6 months without being drivin. The fuel filter should be changed.. I think I want to change that first. I dont have a rail pressure gauge to check the lift pump. I guess when I bring it to dodge for that new recall out ill have it checked. It doesnt happen on any level other then 5.. Even on level 4 it doesnt happen. Not at all. On level 5 its fine if you go wot. 40psi of boost its still hitting. I would think if the truck didnt have enough fuel pressure it would cut boost too.

If the fuel pressure is fine, it could be a problem in the module itself. Maybe it is time to give Edge a call. 888-360-3343

I'd try changing the fuel filter, or getting a aftermarket fuel pump. Sounds like fuel draining....or the box needs repair.

Had the same problems with my edge hot and my tst and it ended up being the pins in the injector harness vibrating under certain RPM's, had both changed under warrenty and they were fine.
