HELP VP44-this is strange

I posted the message below yesterday on "help" and 42 people have viewed it with no reply???
I need a VP44 replacement ASAP and will not pay Dodge $2200 for one. Dodge re-flashed my PCM/ECM today and ran diags, confirmed I need a VP44. I see VP44's on the internet for as low as $1013 from Midwest Fuel Injection, has anyone used them?? Other suggestion on where to Buy???

OLD MESSAGE; I have had a few momentary "dead pedals" a day traveling 200-300miles & towing for a while now. I made it to our winter location in AZ. The last 4 days I have limp mode in the morning (not towing) and need to go 1/2 to 1 mile before it kicks in. Then have occasional "dead pedal" after that! My "limp mode" has NO SMOKE and in neutral will rev up, just no power!

I have codes, pcm 1693, & ecm 0216 that when cleared, will come back.
I have had, 12-14 psi at Vp44 at all times (relocated lift pump to rail 2 yrs ago)
I have calibrated & reset APPS and confirmed good voltage at PCM when limp/DP occurs.
I have removed and inspected PCM for good conn and no cold solder joints
I have confirmed map sensor volts are 1 volt and increases with RPM's, goes to ~1.5 volts in Limp mode under acceleration then ~2.5 when Limp ends???

I have not had the pcm/ecm software re-flashed but at this point I am ready to order a rebuilt VP44. MIDWEST FUEL INJECTION seams to have the best prices and terms. Anyone used them??? Any other companies you would recommend before I spent the $$grand++?????? see my sig for truck info, now 92k miles. Thanks!

I went with Blue Chip Diesel Performance for my replacement.
I have used another company's pump, but after replacing two of their pumps in 5 years, I went with Blue Chip due to their reputation for building a good reliable long lasting pump.

Pretty sure quite a few people on the boards have purchased and are running Midwest Fuel Injecttion VP's.

You know this has been discussed well over 300,000 times and you can usually get an answer right away with the search feature.

I used a Midwest Fuel Injection pump with no problems to date (about 80,000 miles) Still has that "crisp clean cummins knock!"

Update

Thanks for the feedback on where to buy!

I took it to Dodge and got the PCM/ECM re-flashed and they ran the diags on the engine. The tech there was pretty good, 20 year diesel & Cummins trained. Bottom line is I have mech failure of the pump, sticking valve when cold.

GET THIS, I added 1.25 gal of soy oil when I left the Dealer, to the almost full tank, and drove 20 miles back to our winter site in AZ. Today I fired it up and it ran like a "dream", no limp, no dead-pedal. Just confirms mech valve problem in the pump!

Then I would be running oil in it every tank until that VP died.

2 stroke is cheap.

I add a quart of ashless 2 stroke oil at every fill up. Seems to help quiet the injection pump noise and idles smoother. Plus Im hoping it will help keep that VP44 lubed and cool!

This might do the trick!
