Went to turn ignition off and continues running?? What to do??

 

have you had a remote start or anything on it? Does the guages and such stay on, or just the truck stay running? Take the lower cover off of the steering wheel to access the ignition switch and unplug it- then waht?

 

Sounds like the fuel shutoff solenoid. They do that.

 

Pull the battery cables.

Sounds like your starter is stuck in start mode.

No fuel shutoff solonoid on a 24 valve.

Once you get it shut down, pull the starter and check the contacts.

Check to see if your turbo timer is on...

 

Thanks guys it was a fuel shut off seleniod. I was in such a hurry to get back to work I forgot to mention it was for my dads motor home which is a 12valve cummins. I told him it was the fuel shut off selenoid, I just wanted to verify. I had my wife monitoring the messages while I was at work. She was relaying all your guys info to my dad as best as she could. LOL.
