Help Starting My Truck

I just replaced my lift pump with a FASS pump with the air/water separator. I went over all the lines and everything is hooked up correctly.

Any tips on getting this thing started?

These are the thing i observed

1. The FASS pump is making noise and continues to make noise a minute or so after you bump the starter.
2. The FASS fuel filter is full of fuel
3. The lines are not kinked
4. I dont have any leaks anywhere.
5. The Edge reads 2lbs of pressure
6. I cracked 1 and 3 injector lines and tried to start several times but no fuel came out so then ...
7. I disconnected the line that goes to the VP44 and bumped the starter several times but no fuel came out. (i think this is key but why?)
8. I disconnected the "A" and bumped the starter but got no fuel.
9. I disconnected the "B" which goes back into the tank and bumped the starter, fuel poured everywhere and I got a diesel bath.

A. Goes to the VP44
B. Fuel return line to tank (manifold they sent)
C. Fuel being pumped from tank

i helped a guy replace a vp44 on a 2001. to get it restarted all we did was hook everything back up, crack the injector lines and bump the starter. don't need to push any pedals. just bump the starter and you should hear the fuel pump run. then when it shuts off or after 5 seconds bump the starter again and repeat until you see fuel coming out of the lines. may need to crack more lines but shouldn't have too.

I got tired of bumping the starter...i did it 10-15 times and still no fuel came out of the injectors so I disconnected the line that hooks to the vp44 and then bumped the starter...fuel should have come out of that line but it didnt.

I have no leaks anywhere, the fuel filter is full of fuel, the pump makes noise.

are you still using the stock filter assembly? regardless you should get fuel out of the line that you took off the vp44. maybe the fass has something weird with it? make sure you have the lines hooked up in the right locations. not that you have the inlet from the tank at the wrong spot on the fass. maybe the inlet for the tank is at "A" instead of "C" on your diagram. double check the instructions. who knows.

ohh. i see in your steps everything is ok. i would take off the line right at the fass and see if you get any fuel. then you know where the problem is like you said.

I bypassed the stock filter assembly. I did double check them, I even disconnected the return line and bumped the starter and fuel poured out of the return line just like its suppose to

I did just now, no fuel coming out of port "A"

I checked it again but the wires are hooked up correctly (and the connector on the pump)

To verify I disconnected the return line(back to the tank) and bumped the starter...Fuel poured out of the return line.

i could be wrong... but you won't get fuel at the injectors by just bumping the starter? you'll have to crack an injector & crank for a while (30 sec or so)... sounds like you have air between VP & injectors

A. Goes to the VP44
B. Fuel return line to tank (manifold they sent)
C. Fuel being pumped from tank

MAN....OK...I PMed you about this......BUT to help the general public, im going to put my responces here.

A. Goes to the VP44
B. Fuel return line to tank (manifold they sent)
C. Fuel being pumped from tank
That is not correct.

A -- should be your return. Do not use thread tape on this fitting

B -- You pulled a pipe plug to install that fitting. That is not in the correct spot. Reinstall the pipe plug and move this fitting to the Brass 90* Elbow below the motor. This is your feed to the engine

C -- You got this one correct.

Install it in this fashion and i bet it will start working correctly.
