Where are you at in ames exactly? Do you have a phone # you can PM me so I can call you? I am in Des Moines, but am willing to travel to Ames to help.

Thumbs up Everyone Please Read

This happened to be the worst trip ever i had been posting everywhere to get help and my computer crashed on the same trip that had left me stranded there in iowa and i could never again remember this website and/or my sign in name i had created so long story short i got my computer back after spending way too much to fix it in these hard times however i had this saved in that laptop so im back with this to say>>>>>>

1. TO MISHKAYA YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH I APPRECIATE TO THIS DAY WHAT YOU DID FOR ME IF EVERYONE IN THIS WORLD WAS LIKE YOU WE WOULDNT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS IN THE WORLD TO SOLVE!!! YOU WILL ALWAYS BE A SPECIAL PERSON I WILL NEVER FORGET THANKS A MILLION MAN

2. To everyone else im not leavin you out you also have no idea how much it meant to have people callin me offering the world and stars to help!!!

3. And the main reason i want everyone to read this is there is one thing that can be said for this website, the people worldwide who reside here (especially those iowa guys), and all the visitors who come here whether they be in tha position i was in at wits end stranded in a strange place with nothing or just wanting to know wat chip is best, HATS OFF TO YOU!!!!!! Mishkaya went above and beyond what most people would do in this day and age and is a VERY knowledgeable person that would give you the shirt off his back!!!

Well this is starting to ramble i just want everyone to know that there is still good in this world and words cant express what you guys did for me so SHOUT OUT TO MY IOWA GUYS sorry for the long delay but you guys are awesome my traveling season is starting up again i know ill be around tha des moines area sometime this year i hope i can offer half to you wat you offered to me!!!!

Thanks everyone

hey guys again thanks for all the responses 1st i had parked my truck in a parking spot on a hill with the rear end of the truck way up on a hill i thought i had somewhere round a 1/4 tank of fuel left i went out a day later to take off and when i went to pull out it died and i cranked forever to start the truck and finally it took off well i got on the highway and was lookin for a place to get fuel and it just died i knew i was close to empty but not that close and i just set there and cranked on it so we had to crack the injector lines and finally got fuel to them and it finally started but ever since then the gauge is always way off so i dont know wat happened to that

You need a new fuel sender. They are known to go bad on these trucks. Part costs around $70 at the dealer and is easy to replace other than the fact that you have to drop the tank for that.
