which headgasket????????????????????

same truck in my sig but i just baought a new ported and polished head for a smokin deal. going to put it on but need advice on what size headgasket to get and which kind. the block has been shaved .005 down the the head has been shaved .009 down. thats .014 thousands over and i need to know what to do.

Seems obivious to me, .020" over modified (for 24v) marine gasket.

yeah thats what i am going to get. i thought that the .020 over marine was for 12v only . didnt know they could modifie to fit 24v. thanks

Why is it necessary to get a .020" over HG?

Wouldn't raise the C/R that much, which is a good thing even if it did, right?

becuaes i dont want my valves hitting my pistons since they are that much closer with my block being shaved .005 and my head being shaved .009. with a .020 head gasket , it will put me basically back to stock highth.

The valves are that close to the pistons stock?

yeah pretty close and it dosent do me any good that my head has been shaved that much or my block
