Unhappy Grinding or Rumble

I'm getting a grinding or rumble when I make a slow turn, I only get it at a very slow speed. I made an appointment to take it in today, any idea's. fMaybe I don't have enough slippage or could a brake could be locking up. Just trying to get some idea before I head to the dealer. I definately comes from the back end of the truck.

Thanks

Possibly a bad u-joint? or a bearing in the rear axle? You need to be more specific when describing the sound.

do u have ur foot on the go pedal while turning? ur truck will hop if u do that...otherwise could be a wheel bearing...are u absolutely sure its from the back of the truck?

aside from that it can be a worn out u-joint thats vibrating...could even be out of balance tire or tires...before my front wheel bearing seized on me and i had to change it i was driving with it while it was squeeking and in the process it damaged my tire internally...so i can detect a slight rumble on that tire still and its off balance ...getting new tires soon though

could be tires too...maybe wheelbearings in the rear

the rest of the guys will give u more ideas

Thanks for your reply's. The dealer checked the U joints bearings and found all in good condition. Changed the diff oil and added more slippage. Seems OK but will put it to the test tomorrow. If all is not right they will get it back PDQ.

Love this site and the great and quick response to situations.
