Ok The engine was running great at high rmp but rough idle and stalling. The liftpump hadlow vacum so it was replaced along with rubber line from fuel heater and new filter. Still it ran rough and at start up the fuel had to rebleed. replaced overflow valve and it seemed better but still hard starting. Replaced supply line and returnline and added a detroitonewayfuel checkvalve. at 1/2 tank fuel it starts missing. Bad pickup tube ? Can I just replace the tube? the sending unit is only 5 years old.


95 2500 4x4 slt 364,000 miles #6fuel plate, tst tranny with lockup, and upgrated torgue converter,gauges, air bags, compresor and air horn.2 known kills several wounded.

 

If it runs good at higher RPMs then I would think that fuel supply would not be the issue , but how about get the pressure tested .
Low RPMs issues , one , but haven't seen this extream , valve adjustment ?
Slipped timing ?

 

Fuel pressureis 25psi at idle or wide open. I just got done pulling a 14,000 lb load at 70mph so wouldn't think timing or valves ?

 

The fuel pressure is spouse to be about 36 at high RPM , the half tank issue , if it only starts at 1/2 tank then pull the sending unit , I put vacuum to it with gauge .
I was just picking up on the comment about fine at higher RPM .

 

I'll pull sending unit tomarrow and let you know for further reference
