Fuel pressure/Quad Commander
Fuel pressure/Quad Commander
My Quad Commander has started to read zero fuel pressure at idle. The rail pressure still reads 7000 at idle. If I travel at 65mph the pressure rises to 7 PSI but if I let up the pressure will drop to Zero. I changed the fuel filter but that did not help. The truck starts and runs good, if I did not have the guage I would not know there is a problem. I checked volts at the sending unit and I have 1.8 volts at idle.
Is this the fuel pump or a guage problem?
Thanks guys for the help this is really worrying me.

Hi lxlaw
Good news and bad news. Good news is I only paid for shipping back but they held my credit card number until they received the old unit ( ok with me).
Bad news the (new)three month old unit is not working.

****, LOL, i just got mine in yesterday. I am curious if they could use the stock dodge oil pressure sending unit or another one that may be better. I noticed the one they sent me was an oil sending unit, so obviously it is just a generic sender. I wonder what is the ohm range of the unit they are sending us? I wonder what's the ohm range of the stock dodge oil sending unit. I believe the stock dodge sending unit also grounds through the plug, so if you have a fass with rubber lines, then you wouldn't have to worry about grounding the sending unit externally.

If someone finds a better sender let me know, Quadzilla has replaced mine 3 times, and this one is all over the place too. My manual pressure guage will read steady on top of the filter canister, I've also changed pumps as well, so I know it's not the pump.
I know someone on here is electronically smart. Find out what the ohm range of the sensor they are using and see if there is a factory OEM sensor like from dodge, ford, chevy, etc.. that is in the similar ohm range. I know they have some adjustment on the commander for making it exact.
