Help, I bought the EVS II OEM alarm installation a breeze, Plug everything up try to start truck won't start. figre I'll just unplug the sentry key module witch is the only thin extra an nothing..

I would suspect you have fixed this by now, but the most common problem is installation without disconnecting the negative battery cables. Most often, disconnecting the negative battery cables, and letting all the capacitors drain for about 5 minutes is all that is required to get the system to reset after it has been improperly installed. Sometimes the PCM is blown in the process of hooking the EVS up hot, but that will show up as a series of ODBII error codes after you reconnect the batteries.

 

In the past the sales literature has recommended that the EVS II system NOT be installed with vehicles already having the SKIM security. I've seen a number of tow ins for no start stemming from this.
