Engine Warning Light after upgrade

I just installed a max flow kit and 80 hp injectors.

Stock Fuel Pump Numbers prior to upgrade:
Idle was = 12.5 PSI
Cruise @ 55 = 11 PSI
Cruise @ 75 = 11.5 PSI
5th gear WOT = 05 PSI
6th gear WOT = 06 PSI

After installing max flow and injectors.
Idle was = 17 PSI
Cruise @ 55 = 15 PSI
Cruise @ 75 = 14 PSI
5th gear WOT = 11.5
6th gear WOT = 12 PSI

Now I can't get the engine warning light to go out. I have only 1 p-code 1693 which means "DTC Detected In ECM Or PCM". This code was there before upgrade due to an overboost condition.

Any idea how to get rid of the engine warning light. The truck runs fantastic, no problems except the warning light.

You can take it to Auto Zone or an Advanced Auto. I heard they will reset the codes for free. If you know someone with a Superchips tuner they can read and reset the codes also.
Hope this helps.

billg,

Thanks for the suggestion. I went to Autozone and had the guy check the codes. The code I couldn't see was a P-0237 Map sensor voltage to low. Had a bad connection. Reseated the connector, cleared the code the truck is happy now.

Thanks again for the help!!!!

Glad to help.
I’m looking to add some injectors to my list in the near future. I’m looking to go with the EDMs or RV275s and have a few questions.
How do you like the 80 EDMs? Have you had a chance to check mileage yet? Do they smoke bad when you get on it and how about the heat? I tow a 5th wheel also and don’t want to get into a heat problem on the hills. I can tow in overdrive now and want to keep it that way.
Thanks for any information.

So far the EDM's are fantastic. They have much more power than just an Edge EZ. Engine seems to have smoothed out some as well. As to smoke, I do notice more (not much) when I punch it at low rpm's but it's just a quick puff then it's gone. If I don't really try to get smoke I don't notice any more than stock. As for fuel mileage, I only have 60 miles on them so far. But for this time of year, I normally only get 17 to 19 mpg. But the overhead compter which has been very accurate is reading over 20 mpg. I will be traveling 260 mile round trip this weekend and plan on watching the mileage closely. I do have one minor issue though, I can't seem to get the injector line nut on #3 to stop leaking. I loosened it tonight and checked it out, reseated the line and reinstalled it, but it still leaks. I dont want to overtighten it and ruin anything. I won't be taking out my 5th wheel until this summer so won't know how EGT are affected until then.

bwat4: By changing the ijector you have lost the accuracy of the overhead console mileage reading.
This mileage guesstimator works like this. It reads the load % on the engine and the speed. For each load% it knows that it consumes xx gals/hr. Any mod that will give you more power will reduce load% for a given intake of fuel.

Just my 2c
