warning beep/ engine light/ loss of power

Driving down a paved highway, about 95kph (less than 60mph) No change in throttle setting by me. The warning beeps once, the engine light comes on and it start stumbling. Feels like it is not running on all cylinders. Very slow to respond to throttle change. no really power.

I tried to get the codes via turning on the key three times but nothing would show. Did the guage code trick and got a C447 , C 127 and something that looks like .285

oil pressure is ok, temp is ok, voltage is ok It starts and runs but not good.

What happened? What should I look for?

That sounds like what happened when I lost #6 injector and the rear injector harness. It threw codes though (can't remember the #'s) but those were the symptoms. Apparently, sometimes the harness that runs through the valve cover shorts out and may take injectors with it.

I got the truck into the garage and the code reader said that there was a misfire on number 4,5 or 6 cylinder. It ran good went I took it in. Couldn't get the truck to reproduce the problem again.
The mechanic said something about the cover gasket maybe shorted out

Not sure what to do... I guess I will have to wait until it does it again.

Had the same problem with my 06. They have come up with a new valve cover gasket, should take care of it.
good luck,

I had those very same gage codes when I checked the c codes. They were not on any error code list I could find. I took mine to the Dodge dealer last Tuesday to check it out. They said they were codes the software engineers use for the programs. I don't have any symtoms so I guess it is OK.

I was just trying to get all the bugs fixed before my warranty expires on the 27th. While they had my truck plugged in to check codes and give me the latest flash they apparently fried my key so it wouldn't start my truck any more. Said they tried to reprogram it but it wouldn't take. So they reprogramed my spare and ordered me a new key on their nickle. So when I arrived at the dealer I apparently had no problems. Three hours later I was going home with a fried key and a promise to allow me to come back again (60 miles RT ) to get a new key programed and cut. Scary isn't it?
