2500 Leaf Spring

I have a 2500 and am going to put a 2.5" leveling kit on it. I was wondering if I could swap a set of 3500 leaf springs with mine to get the rear end up after I lift the front. The whole suspension is tired due to many miles. It would also be nice to beef up the truck as well.

won't gain any height other than what little bit you will get from springs that haven't sagged yet.

I'm pretty sure that the only difference is the overload spring, which is located on top of the spring pack so it won't increase the height.

Yup, that's the only differance between a 3500 and 2500 period, unless of corse the 3500 is a dually, then it's just a longer rear axle with bolt on hub extentions up front. Oh yea, and the rear fenders lol.

But yea, doing that would be a wast of time and money.

Put on a set of constant rate overload springs. I had some on the z71 and it brought it up a couple inches. I believe they were helwig. Easy install with u bolts took ten minutes per side.

Some 2500 ,s don,t have the shims under the rear spring pack, approx 1 3/4 inches as per all 3500,s have them.
