engine knock

first off i have a 2000 24valve with 200K. no chips or programers have ever been on truck. i have a awful knock in the top end. i thought it was a fuel knock so i pulled my injectors and had them flow tested, sure enough #1 had a crack in it and the rest weren't in much better shape. ordered a new set of stock sticks with the rv 275 nozzles, put them in, bled the lines to get her started and the knock was gone. let it idle for about half an hour and it sounded great. went out this morning, started it to let it warm up and the knock was back. when i say knock i don't mean a little pecking noise, but a serious knock. i would think if the noise was gone when i put them in and just started back i have narrowed down the issue. any advice. as always thanks so much

Just double check all of your lines to make sure that they're still tightened and there isn't any small leaks of fuel from any of the injector lines. Since you know that the injectors are fine, I would have the injector pump tested.

Also do you have good fuel pressure going to the injector pump?
