I don't feel bad 130000mi. and this is the only problem I've had to pay for. I consider myself very lucky. Especially since I have the money to fix it.
What I do feel bad about is this weekend is my 16 year anniversary and my wife and I had plans to go out for the weekend. Looks like that isnt going to happen now.
Anyway I just picked up a new lift pump and i'm getting ready to get my new VP and hoses and primary fuel filter. Maybe I'll start to tackle this job tonight. In the mean time i'll try not to get myself killed in the company truck. 96 ford ranger 4cyl. cant even get out of its own way

well good luck and watch the power in that ranger,i have to drive my 1990 dodge diesel that would go around the world without a problem and thats why i keep it.

You might consider getting a more robust lift pump to provide better / more consistent fuel pressure / volume to the IP, specifically a Walbro or a FASS....

Now I got codes????

Well after screwing around with this beast all night I got the comp. to give up some codes, P1689-P1693?????? any ideas what they are. and is it as bad as I thought?
