I am hoping someone can tell me the color the wire sould be coming out of the headlight switch that controls the dash light dimmer. This is on my 97' slt, 12 valve,

Thanks Rick, I am trying to hook up the lighting for my guage set, an I figure it really should be dimmable with the rest of the Dash. That should not overload the circuit I hope.. Sure do appreciate you getting back to me so fast... JON

I just put mine in tonight, mine was orange with a brown stripe. but i have a 04.5. Mine didnt overload the circuit and works perfectly with the rest of the gauge's

 

I see you figured it out. I just replied to your post,,,,lol. Could you check that pic and tell me if that's the wire you tapped. Thank's.

 

Ya, I got your message and just did my install. I could not find a pic you were talking about but brown with orange is the wire to tap, comming out of the light switch. let me know if you have any questions..... JON
