EGT probe.

Well I bought a issapro egt and fuel gauge this week and am installing them rite now. But the thermocouple probe dose not have any threads. In the box it came in it only had two big hose clamps and on the probe itself There is a ring with an allen key in it. Did i get the wrong thing or did I get robbed?

The probe will not have any threads. There should be a collar that tightens around the thermocouple, and THAT screws into the hole.
It sounds like you got the one that is held on with 1 hose clamp on each side of the thermocouple.
Can you post a pic of it?

This style is fine.
1.Take off the collar
2.slide thermocouple through hole in clamp
3. Place collar so that approx 1/2-3/4 of the thermocouple is in the exhaust
4.Tighten collar on thermocouple
5. Insert the thermocouple into the hole
6. Tighten clamp to hold thermocouple in place.

Make sense?

Pre turbo- I don't believe so. However, they should just be able to send you the correct fittings. Make sure you tell them where you are going to put it.

Theres different types of thermocouples and different ways to mount them. Make sure you know what you want before you order. Maybe you could send it back and get the correct T/C??
