no signs of trouble before today truck sat for about a day and a half. started fine this morning drove 10 miles turned off. 1 hour later started fine drove 60 to 70 miles turned off sat for a few hours and now all it will do is turn over but will not start up. no electronics on truck right now and have not been for a few weeks. i can hear the lift pump come on and has 10 psi before cranking and about 6 to 7 while cranking. (<on quad rail/fuel pressure gauge) rail pressure is not reading more about 700psi or so while cranking. ive only cranked on it for about 10 seconds at the max so far. need quick help on what to check before the injectors. pressure valves or what ever. thanks

i checked codes and there are no codes. i changed fuel filter and still no start. it started with a little help from some starting fluid, which i know is not good! just looking for things to check before pulling the injectors and sending them to f1.

 

after i turned it off and let it set 10 mins it would strat right up. hour later started up good again. 2 more hours and started up fine again? i have no idea whats going on! i guess ill see if it starst doing it again.

 

Sounds like my 03, starts fine in the morning but after you drive it for a short while and sits for a few minutes it would crank alot or would not fire, after three trips to the dealer, lift pump, high pressue relief valve, same thing
finally changed all six injectors now it starts fine, said it was bypassing 400ml in of fuel 30 minutes (about 13 oz) glad warrenty covered it all

 

sounds like a injector bypass problem which means u need new ones
