I have a 2002 CTD, truck would not start after sitting for a week. I checked the fuel pressure and it was fine. I was thinking it was the VP44 had gone south. It turns out I had a blown door lock fuse, must have triggered the anti theft system ... new fuse and lock/unlock the doors fixed it. Thanks to my son finding the fuse all is good.

Thought I would post this in case anyone else runs into a crank but no start. I have to admit I was stumped for a bit.

I though it might give someone else a hint trouble shooting the same problem.

 

Wish my problem was that simple. The vp i had installed went out after 40+- miles and she would crank but wouldent start. Had it towed back to the shop that put the pump in and they had no clue what was wrong after 1 1/2 days so off to dodge for another $1600

Dodge told me they installed the pump worng because the first shop did not put the bracke on the bottom of the new pump or my edge burnt it up but it was set on stock no that wasnt the issue.......
