steering

I was just needing to know if anyone has replaced the track bar with a relocator kit that has bushings on both ends instead of a tie rod end? Also, do these last longer and make the truck drive better?

I put a Solid Steel 3rd gen track bar kit and a Solid Steel adjustable track bar and a DSS and a PSC (some people don't like these but mine is fine) 3 turn steering gear on my 97 about 1year ago. I was fighting "death Wobble" and finally cured it with my new front rotors. Truck steers with one finger and tracks straight and fun to drive.

You can get the bracket and TB and other suspension stuff at Source Automotive here:

Other knockoffs of SS are out there. Thuren Fabrication makes a 3rd gen bracket and 3rd gen bar too. Not sure if his 3rd gen bar has a heim joint or not but look here.

Oh, Thurens bracket is welded on and the SS bracket bolts on.

Good luck,
Dave
