Duramax clutch question

A bud at work has a Duramax 2006 model with a Hypertech box on it. He regularly hauls 2 Miller Bobcat welders in the back. The other day he maxed out the programmer to see what it would do, and the clutch pedal went down and had to be manually pulled back up. He thinks he has too much torque for the stock clutch set-up.

Anyone have any pointers as to whose clutch/pressure plate assy he should look into???

Thanks in advance,

Gary

sounds like a hyd. problem, but he could have pulled the face off the disc and it stackedup between the pressure plate and fly wheel

Common problem with the Dmax stick trucks. The Dual Mass flywheel is garbage and is one of the first things that needs addressed when adding power to a stick Dmax. A friend of mine is currently running a South Bend double disc setup and has the fastest handshaker Duramax in the country @ 13.31, he sled pulls also and abuses it regularly It's an excellent clutch!!!
