Dragging Brakes
Local dodge dealer tells me my fluid is contaminated. This caused the rubber seals in the callipers to swell, pushing the brakes on. How long would it have to be contaminated for this to happen. Also Are callipers serviceable on these trucks. They tell me I need a new master cyclinder, rubber brake lines, & 2front callipers.
My first question would be how did it get contaminated? If the dealer was the last one to work on them, what did they do? Just a thought. I would ask if they could tell the contaminent. Then I would be wondering if they put something in mistakenly when they did the last work. If you haven't been checking the fluids or adding anything I wonder where it happened? Good luck and at least they didn't fail on you!
No they only did the rear brakes. If they put power steering fliud in by acident. How long would it take for my brakes to get this bad? I was told within a day or two. I haven't added any thing to the fluid, they did but it was 6 weeks ago, & 5000 miles. Could it take that long?
