Cracked HP injector line

I have a cracked hp injector line going from the common rail to the #5 injector. I am curious if it is tricky changing out the line from the rail to the injector or if it is just a matter of loosening the two nuts and making sure you don't bend the line while putting it on. It is cracked right above the nut that screws onto the injector.

its not hard other then you have to also remove the bracket that holds the line

.

I just had the same problem with #4, blew diesel all over the truck .. Changing it took 15 minutes, mostly getting the tools out... Anyone know how to get diesel off EVERY exterior surface of the truck?? The underside has proven to be nearly impossible...

Just make sure you keep the area clean, to keep any dirt out of the injectors...

Mine went a hundred thousand miles before it blew, then I think it was only because the id-10-t dealer didn't tighten the clamp after they changed the injector...

The injector line for #3 cylinder broke at approximately 410,000 KM's right at the 180 degree bend but I do not know how many broke with the previous owner. What I do know is that the injector lines were at some time replaced because all the supports and brackets are missing. To bring everything up to scratch will cost about $ 600.00.

Does anyone know a place that deals only with these tube supports?

had a friend change out his injector lines on his ford cube van. didn't put the brackets and supports back on after. 4 lines tried to straighten themselves out and eventually cracked the lines.
