code P0148

my dad has an 05 with the BD X-Tuner set on Tow. keeps throwing this code but just started it. had the box on for 3 months and now gettin the code. put a new pusher pump on thinkin that was it and its still there. put the truck back to stock and it still threw the code. any help would be greatly appreciated.

man i have looked everywhere and cant seem to find anyone or any place that can tell me what to do to fix this code. i thought it was a weak pump so we put the pusher pump on and its still there. all the code says is FUEL DELIVERY ERROR. if any one can please help me with this i would greatly appreciate it. thank you.

why not take it to dealer under warranty?
the code indicates a difference between desired and actual rail pressure
If it's the same diagnostic procedure as an '03, the testing flow chart is three pages long! Possible problems include:

fuel leak
lift pump (which you already replaced)
injection pump
injectors or injector high pressure connectors
pressure limiting valve
air in fuel system
fuel drain line check valve or drain line restriction
fuel control actuator

oh yeah, you need a DRB tool to perform some of the actuator tests, sometimes you can use one of the aftermarket scan tools (Snap-On, OTC, etc)

thank you very very much for the info. thought it indicated low fuel presure so we put the pusher pump on. i will take it to the dealer for him. hope nothing to serious although it is under warrenty.

yea i cleared the code 3 times and it came right back. so thats y i said i have no clue as to what it is. i will take it to the dealer next week and let you all know what they say it is.
