Catalytic Converter?..

I have a Dodge 2500 24V Cummins that has an additional resignator looking rig before the muffler that I am hoping is NOT a catalytic converter.

Does anyone know one way or another if these Cummins actually use a catalytic converter?...

I just put a new 4" system on and removed this thinking "RESIGNATOR".. where it doesn't (still have the old part) look like a gas type converter with the flange connections and all.

HELP?

You don't say what year your truck is but if it is between '98.5 and '03 it only has a resonator, no cat.

Oops.. sorry, it's an 2000.. and thanks for the help.. It's always nice when I hear the right answer. I was getting a little paranoid wondering if I was going to go for an inspection and hear a line like "hey idiot, you DO need a converter, you know!"...........Ahhhh, thanks again!
