Broke Down in Tennessee

Hello DTR members, I'm broke down in Tennessee. I came through a stop sign and when my '98.5 24 valve shifted into 2nd gear the engine shut down like it ran out of fuel. I pulled the bleeder plug out of the top of the fuel filter housing, turn the switch on and fuel went everwhere. Engine still turns over, just won't fire-up.......Thanks for any help

HI Lary, I'm broke down on the road, I have no way of getting the codes where I'm at, and this model was before the keying technology.

my guess is the vp 44 failed, try bleeding a couple of injectors. if no or very little fuel then the vp44 is toast
