Unofficial Tennessee Chapter Meet and Greet

Ok, so I looked at the calendar and decided that October 21st sounded like a good enough day to do this. It's far enough out where we should be able to plan, hopefully not conflicting with other plans. I'm not real familiar with north Nashville so I decided to stick to what I know. We can meet at the O'Charley's on Old Hickory Blvd in Brentwood. I think 2pm sounds good. If there is any problem with the time we could do it earlier or later, just speak up and let me know. Saturday should be good over there, a lot of office buildings and stuff which means it should not be that busy.

If your not familiar with the location, I-65 south towards Alabama. Get off on Old Hickory Blvd. Go up to the main intersection, Old Hickory/Franklin Rd. Go straight through the light. O'Charley's will be the next light, turn left, you'll see the signs. Sorry, don't have any exit numbers yet, but if you need them PM me and I'll get them on the next caddy test drive I do!!

North on I-65, get off on the second Old Hickory Blvd exit, will put you going towards Franklin Rd. Cross over Franklin Rd, O'Charley's is the first light after Franklin Rd, turn left. It's right on the corner.

Should be plenty of parking as well, so while we wait on everyone to show up we can do whatever. So sound off if your up for it, this is what we wanted, so lets show DTR they need a Chapter in Tennessee!

Shawn
Unofficial organizer of this thing.....I'm not really here....this message is just your imagination playing tricks on you...

October 21st, 2pm, O'Charley's, Brentwood, TN

I ain't seen ya around in awhile Mark! Or maybe I'm just here to much!! Did you get your message about your truck? Yeah, I was thinking the 14th of October, but....oh well. Not to used to planning for others, I'm a spur of the moment kinda guy....maybe that's why I have so many unfinished projects in the basement...I run out of spur!!!

Alright, update on this. I talked to DieselDaze and I am gonna get the paperwork to make this official. I'll do what I can to try and round up some people at tractor pulls/shows and stuff, or just people I see at gas stations! If you guys know anybody see what you can do about getting them hooked.

Sorry I put the date out there so far....a month away. I know some of you were tied up the next couple weekends so I figured I'd put it out past most guys planning schedule! I know mine is only about a week ahead Alright there appears to be 5 of us that have said we'll be there, we got 9 that said yes....where you other guys at?

I know there have been ideas about Cedar City Diesel. If anyone knows the phone number or where it is I could call for info. Probably be in the spring for that, just so we could get enough members to show up. There is also a drag strip near my house, US 43 Raceway, http://www.us43.com/ Ok, I thought it was a 1/4 mile, but it's a 1/8 track. Anyhow, it looks like they have a test/tune, street car thing on saturday nights, so that could be something else as well.

Bowling Green has a track up there. It's about a hour away, well from Nashville anyways. I'll have to check when the test and tune nights are. TS performance is up there and frequent the track. They've got some bad donkey trucks!!

I believe Cedar City Diesel is just a small shop. I think someone was referring to Delk Performance for the dyno. I could be wrong though.

I think I have 3 more guys. I have a good friend that works at the JD store and he works with 2 guys. One with an 06' plus a banks box, the other has a 98' 12V with a single stack that my friend says is pretty hot! My friend is interested too, unfortunately he is not the proud owner of a Dodge Cummins yet, but I think he will at some point!! He's the one with the idea about the 4bt. If his work schedule permits he'd like to be there on the 21st and he said the guy with the 98' would be there if his race season was over. So I gave him the web address to give to them to check out....

So, tomorrow it's back to my slave labor they call a "job". Been a great 9 days off!! Got my rack painted today, thinking I'll do one more coat....don't know if I should wet sand it one more time before the second coat or just shoot the second one on? I'm using tractor paint, enamel...I have a hard time mixing the automotive finish type paint...plus the last time I bought paint for my Bolens it cost $90 for the stuff!!! That was just to spray the hood. I can get a quart tractor paint at TSC for $9.

Hi.

"Newcastle" seems to get the most responses around here though.
