well I have been driving alot since the last breakdown and i went out to start the truck and when i turned the key to the on position to wait it sounded like the abs unit was cycling (that surging growel they make) then the wait lite went out and the engine fired up and ran for 10 seconds started to stumble and died and refused to restart, we put the snapon scanner on it and just got squigly lines and stuff plugged the scanner into another truck and it worked fine, guess the ecm on the block is fried? if so can I buy a new one and run with it or does it have to goto the dealer to be flashed?

 

the ez edge is still disconnected since i wanted to be sure it was not the problem

 

Sounds like a classic case of gelled fuel plugging up the filters.

 

i put 3 times the recommended dosage of antigel in last fill up, i am figuring the ecm on the block died since the snapon scanner cannot read it i am just getting binary code and squigly lines, last time i broke down I got the code for no comm with ecm/bus connector don't remember what the code # was, my friends wife ordered me a new ecm from dodge their cost 410.40 through their shop, guess I need to install it and tow her to the dealer for flashing
