brake problems

i have a 97 dodge 2500 4wd thats pulling to the right. we have replaced the front caliper twice thinking i got a bad one. i have replaced the brake hose and the pads move freely and when piston is fully compressed it moves freely. its terrible i cant hardly drive my truck i think my power steering fluid may be contaminated would flushing this possibly fix my problem or does anyone have any advice i need to try and get it fixed today since i have to work tomorrow.

If you forced the caliper back without opening the bleeder it's very likely you damaged the ABS unit.

Which caliper did you replace? If truck pulls to the right, you should replace the caliper on the left...

hi
it may not be the caliper at all!
the hose will sometimes go bad not allowing fluid to return to master cyl holding preasure in caliper causing drag , REPLACE THE HOSE!

Brake Answer

Now does it pull to the right only when you hit the brakes. If this is the case then you may want to check the condition of both of your front rotors. If one rotor is thicker than the other then the brakes will grab and apply more force to the rotor that is thicker and seem to pull to that side. If this happens not when the brake are applied then an alignment issue at fualt for this little pulling problem.
