Blue smoke usually indicates that you are burning oil. Could be seals on the turbo or a broken oil ring. not as likely to be valve guide seals. there are other possiblilities that I am not aware of.

If you are wondering about the turbo, it would only take a minute to see if there's oil in the tube to the intercooler, for peace of mind.
Was anything used to flush out the tank?
Does it run OK, without any miss, or extra knock sound?

i backwashed the tank with fresh fuel then wiped everything up with a clean absorbent pad. it runs fine on the highway but has a rough idle. the smoke is just about gone which kind of leads me to believe that it was from the bad fuel in a line or something but i still cant get it to idle perfectly
