On a 06 with 6spd trans, passing a car and ran truck up to about 85 and heard load whistle-squeal and lost power. Now truck blows white-blue smoke and has no power, figure the turbo went. Anyone had this happen before?
Bad part is I had just left the dealer for other warranty work and they checked over the whole truck for low power and poor fuel mileage issue and said they could find nothing wrong.

 

well the good news is now they can find something wrong

check to see that none of your intercooler boost have blown or blown off.

 

Checked all the boost hoses and found all still attached, but I can assure there are no mosquito's in our neighborhood after starting that thing

sometimes the dealer needs a little help!! i bet they can get a crack at it now. good luck

My '04.5 did the same thing about a year ago. The dealer told me to take them the stock air box and filter in case a Cummins/Holsett rep came in to inspect/verify the blown turbo. Dealer said a tech would have thrown a fit about AirMax/K&N intake and deny warranty.
