Ok 99 quad cab 4x4 with a power puck. Went to back up the driveway with my lawn trailer and no power. Idles fine but idle goes up in gear and it kinda slams into gear and sounds like I have a hole in the exhaust now. Got it to my buddies garage but looking for help. Very odd symotoms. We thought maybe filter dirty,I'm afraid lift and or injector pump going or gone bad.

 

I would follow the air intake route from the turbo to the intercooler to the intake mfld. Sounds like a boost boot leaking. Look for loose/torn boot.
