Technically the recall is for the life of the truck, but if you have wired around stuff, and made some mods, they might frown on it and give you some hassle. I had that trouble once, so I fixed it, and had a buddy at an independent shop make me a bill showing what I felt was fair price to fix. Mailed it to DC and got a check in about 6 months! Was it right? No! Neither was how they jerked me around about it either. I was fair in my price and claimed it happened on a Sunday and the dealer wasn't open. You know, an emergency!

Heat index was 107 today! Actual temp in my shop was 98. And I had a fan on me the entire day! Glad my truck has good a/c. Had to run it on high most of the way home too! Which is unusual for me! Dangit! Getting warmer just thinking about it!

I read that thread and its the same deal with me.My running lights dont work either.If you want to rig it until you can get it traced down you could use some 10 guage wire and a heavy duty pushbutton starter switch from napa .Ill post back here tonite and let you all know what I find
