Anyone with a wiring diagram I need to find hot wire.

I have done everything to this blower motor ,changed ignitions, changed the resistor, checked fuse ,changed control switch and I still have no blower.I checked the fan motor and is good. The compressor is kicking in but I just have no fan.Im tired of messing with it.I need to know what wire is the hot wire to the fan switch so I can just wire it direct but I still want to be able to have the 4 fan speeds.I havent checked for a relay im not sure if the fan has one .thanx for any help

Check the relay in the PDC. Should be marked or labeled in or on the box. I'm basing this on info in the '98 manual.

Not in the PDC . There was a recall on those trucks. Relay is mounted under the dash on the brake pedal mount. Has a pink/blk wire and a dk green wire going to it. Wires should be run over to the blower as well. Check for power and ground at the blower. You might have power , but not ground! The ground circuit goes thru a resistor that is bolted in the housing near the blower motor.

O.k. Look for the relay under the dash, and check the wiring at the ignition switch. It is fed power from the 40 amp fuse under the hood. If the truck starts and runs, the 40 amp fuse should be o.k. There may be a problem with the relay, or the wiring from the ignition switch to the relay. Check for power on the pink/bk wire at the relay. That should be the power into the realy from the ignition switch.

The wiring at the keyswitch is ok,I have checked it more than once and I have swapped out 2 or 3 ignitions.I think the wiring there is ok,I wonder if that relay could have a short making that fuse blow

Pull the lower cover off of the steering wheel ( 3 phillips screws ) , and look for burned wiring or poor connections!

o.k., follow the wires from the switch down to the relay. Look for any chaffed wires hitting the column cover and look at the wiring at the relay.

Anything melted is bad! Hard to tell, but if it is melted it could have a bare spot touching ground. That will blow the fuse right now! Also check the wiring from the relay over to the blower. The green wire. If the blower is on, that wire has power from the relay to the blower. The whole thing was designed to take the blower load off of the ign switch. I was a help i would say, far from a cure!
